Patricia Briggs: Iron Kissed

Mercy Thompson is a car mechanic and a shapeshifter. When her former boss and mentor, a fae named Zee, is arrested for murder, his own kind don't do much to help him. But Mercy is sure he's not a murderer, and she has to find out who really committed the crime...

This is an excellent book. Mercy and her friends - though most of them are supernatural beings - are likable as always. The book never gets boring, and the character's actions are inherently plausible, which is more than what can be said for a lot of other books, especially in the fantasy genre. The only point of criticism might be the fact that Stephan the vampire doesn't show up, but it is really a great book. (Grade A)
